1. What is the difference between the Master Series and the FFS CI machine?
Master Series is the stack/small-to-medium format flexo press in 6- and 8-colour configurations. The FFS is a heavy-duty full-servo CI (central impression) press with sleeve technology, intended for high-volume film work where register stability and fast job change matter.
2. How many colours do I actually need?
The number follows your order book, not the brochure. Count the maximum spot colours in your current jobs plus one for future work; buying eight when the portfolio needs five adds cost without adding capability.
3. Why does the CI configuration hold register better?
Because all colour stations print against a single central impression cylinder, the web is supported on the same surface for every colour. That removes the accumulation of tension variations that stack presses experience between stations.
4. What is the advantage of sleeves over conventional cylinders?
Job change time. A sleeve can be changed in minutes, while a conventionally mounted cylinder requires removal and re-mounting. If your average run is short, the sleeve is the deciding feature; if runs are long, it matters less.
5. Which anilox and plate parameters need to match?
Anilox line count and volume must be coherent with the plate line count and with the substrate. Line count alone is not enough: two anilox rolls with the same line count and different volume transfer different amounts of ink.
6. How is colour consistency controlled?
By a defined measurement condition — illuminant, observer, instrument geometry — plus a tolerance agreed per colour family. ΔE figures from different measurement conditions are not comparable, and metamerism can make an approved sample fail under retail lighting.
7. What about solvent recovery and emissions?
Where solvent-based inks are used, the drying and exhaust system must be designed with the emission requirement of the destination country in mind. Water-based and energy-curable options change the machine configuration and should be decided before the order.
8. Who manufactures and supports the press?
The flexographic presses are manufactured by SINSTAR. XIAOPAI supplies them as authorised worldwide distributor and coordinates specification, installation, training and after-sales.
