XIAOPAI supplies medium-voltage vacuum circuit breakers from 12 kV to 40.5 kV: the ZN85-40.5 indoor withdrawable VCB, ZW32-12 and ZW32-24 outdoor pole-mounted VC Bs, and the VSG-12 and VF2-12 indoor VC Bs for compact switchgear. All models comply with IEC 62271-100, with mechanical life above 10,000 operations and CE certification for export.
The ZN85-40.5 (3 AV3) indoor vacuum circuit breaker is designed for 40.5 kV three-phase AC 50/60 Hz systems. It serves mining companies, power plants and substations for protection and control of medium-voltage feeders, transformers and motor circuits. The withdrawable design allows the breaker truck to be racked out for inspection and maintenance without de-energising the whole panel.
Rated voltage: 40.5 kV
Rated frequency: 50/60 Hz
Three-phase AC
Withdrawable truck type for indoor switchgear
Vacuum interrupter: no oil, no SF6, minimal maintenance
ZW32 series VC Bs are mounted on distribution poles for overhead line and rural network protection. The sealed outdoor enclosure resists rain, dust and condensation, and the integrated current transformers support protection and metering. ZW32-12 covers 12 kV networks, ZW32-24 covers 24 kV.
ZW32-12: 12 kV outdoor pole-mounted
ZW32-24: 24 kV outdoor pole-mounted
Sealed housing for outdoor service
Used for line sectionalising, transformer protection and rural distribution automation
VSG-12 is built for compact switchgear integration where panel depth is limited. VF2-12 uses a modular design so the same breaker frame fits several cubicle layouts. Both are rated 12 kV and suit industrial plant distribution, commercial building substations and infrastructure projects.
Utility substations and municipal distribution networks
Power plants and industrial plant switchgear
Mining operations
Commercial building and data centre distribution rooms
Renewable energy step-up and grid interconnection
Railway and transport infrastructure

What voltage ratings do XIAOPAI vacuum circuit breakers cover?
12 kV, 24 kV and 40.5 kV, in indoor and outdoor designs.
Which VCB is for outdoor pole mounting?
ZW32-12 (12 kV) and ZW32-24 (24 kV).
Which VCB suits a 40.5 kV indoor substation?
ZN85-40.5, an indoor withdrawable VCB rated 40.5 kV.
What standard do XIAOPAI VC Bs meet?
IEC 62271-100, with CE certification and full type and routine test reports for export.
What is the mechanical life?
Above 10,000 operations on standard models.
Vacuum circuit breaker or load break switch — which do I need?
A VCB interrupts both load and fault current and can reclose after a fault. A load break switch handles load current and relies on fuses for faults. For 12 kV load switching, see the FZRN12/25-12D at https://www.cnxiaopai.com/circuit-breaker/98.html
Can you supply matching switchgear?
Yes — high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear cabinets, IEC 61439 compliant. See https://www.cnxiaopai.com/sys-pd/25.html
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ 1 set. Lead time confirmed per configuration — contact us for a quotation.

For 12 kV load switching with fuse protection, see the FZRN12/25-12D vacuum load break switch.
1. Which series should I choose for my application?
ZN85 for general indoor medium-voltage duty, VSG-12 for indoor switchgear with withdrawable configuration, VF2-12 where a permanent-magnet actuator is preferred for lower maintenance, and ZW32 for pole-mounted or outdoor installations (including the 24 kV outdoor version). The deciding factor is the installation type, not the voltage alone.
2. What is the difference between fixed and withdrawable types?
Withdrawable breakers can be racked out for maintenance without opening the cable compartment, which shortens downtime. Fixed types are simpler and cheaper but require the panel to be isolated for breaker maintenance. The choice drives total cost of ownership more than purchase price.
3. Which ratings are available?
The range covers 12 kV, 24 kV and 40.5 kV classes with several current and short-circuit combinations per class. Because a "25 kA at 12 kV" rating is not the same statement as "25 kA at 24 kV", the exact rating must be fixed per voltage class in the technical agreement.
4. What operating mechanism do you offer?
Spring-charged stored-energy mechanisms as standard, with permanent-magnet actuators on the VF2-12 series. Both are available with manual charging and with motor charging for remote operation.
5. Does the breaker include interlocks?
Interlocks are a function of the panel, not of the breaker alone. When supplied as part of a switchgear assembly, the five safety interlocks are included and tested; when supplied as a loose breaker, the interlocking must be designed into the panel.
6. Which standard governs testing?
IEC 62271-100 for circuit breakers, with IEC 62271-1 for general requirements. Routine tests are performed on every unit; type-test reports are provided for the design family.
7. How is the vacuum interrupter life declared?
Electrical life and mechanical life are declared separately and are not interchangeable: mechanical life counts mechanism operations, while short-circuit interruptions are governed by the rated short-circuit breaking capacity. Both values are stated in the technical data sheet.
8. What about the load-switch fuse combination (FZRN)?
The FZRN1225-12D combines a vacuum load-break switch with high-voltage fuses for transformer protection, typically on the incoming circuit of a compact substation. It is a different device from a circuit breaker and is selected where fault levels allow fuse protection.
