Product Overview

The Type 1300 Horizontal Slitting Machine is a versatile slitting equipment for various roll materials. It adopts a horizontal layout, pneumatic shaft unwinding/rewinding, and magnetic powder tension control, combined with a photoelectric guiding system to achieve stable, neat, and high-precision slitting and rewinding.

The machine's mechanical speed can reach 200 m/min, offering multiple effective cutting widths of 45 / 60 / 65 / 90 cm, suitable for multi-variety, small-batch, and continuous mass production. The whole machine uses channel steel frame and chain drive, featuring good structural rigidity, stable operation, and easy maintenance.

Main features: ① High speed and stability——Mechanical speed 200 m/min, slitting speed 150 m/min, chain drive with good rigidity, suitable for continuous batch production; ② Precision guiding——High-end photoelectric guiding system, guiding range 120 mm, repeat positioning error only ±0.5 mm, neat edges with less waste; ③ Controllable tension——Both unwinding and rewinding use magnetic powder brakes and clutches (200 N·m) for tension control, resulting in tight and wrinkle-free rewinding.

Frequently asked questions

1. Which machine do I need — a slitter or a rewinding-slitting machine?
A slitter takes a master roll and produces multiple narrower rolls; a rewinding-slitting machine combines slitting with automatic rewinding and roll change, which is what high-output converting lines need. The deciding factor is how much handling you want to remove from the operator.

2. What width and speed are available?
The Type 1300 is the horizontal slitting configuration, and the CLFQ-W1100 is the automatic high-speed rewinding and slitting machine. Speed, web width and roll diameter are fixed per model and confirmed in the technical agreement, so they should be read from the quotation rather than inferred from the model number — "maximum speed" and "working speed" are two different numbers and both should be stated.

3. Which cutting principle is used?
Shear cutting with controlled overlap for thin and medium films, which gives a clean edge with low dust. Other geometries are available for specific materials. The overlap setting is the parameter that most affects edge quality and blade life, and it should be recorded per material.

4. How is roll quality controlled?
Through taper tension, edge guiding and web tension at the rewind. Roll hardness is normally specified at three points — core, middle and outer — rather than described as "firm". Telescoping usually starts upstream of the rewinder: uneven infeed tension, insufficient taper or a poor-quality core.

5. Can the machine handle thick or rigid material?
Yes, within the configuration limits. At 600 microns the film behaves like sheet: shear geometry, core torque and roll weight become the deciding factors rather than line speed. State the material and thickness range in the enquiry.

6. What about static and dust?
Slitting generates static, and static attracts dust onto the web. The machine can be supplied with ionisation and with edge-trim extraction; both should be specified together with the material, because the right combination depends on the film.

7. What consumables and spare parts should I stock?
Blades or knife sets, wear pads, core chucks and drive belts. Blade life depends on the material's abrasiveness and on correct overlap setting; storing a spare set is cheaper than a production stop.

8. How is the machine commissioned?
With a documented sequence: site readiness check, levelling and alignment, cold run, tension and guiding setup, then first saleable roll against the acceptance criteria. Operator training is delivered on the machine during commissioning.
